Eliana Valentini is a multidisciplinary artist based in Co. Sligo (Ireland). She was born in Milan (Italy) where she lived and spent many years particularly studying and researching ancient dances, visual art and illustration. Experienced Italian language teacher Eliana also includes the Italian language in her list of classes encouraging language learning, cultural exchange, and travelling.
Eliana’s dance project of multicultural fusion through the bodily communication of dance was born in Ireland, which for her has been a place full of creative vibrations. In the process of getting used to a new culture, she has chosen folk dances from her own background as means of cultural and historical heritage of the world. This project hopes to reawaken in our modern society the ancient human instinct to express oneself through the movement of the body, enabling individual self-expression in order to share with our community those deep values that seem destined to disappear.
Eliana’s visual art watercolours are challenging the role of the emotions in relation to shapes and colours, transcending rationality, letting watercolours guiding her. The final result opens new channels and inner visions, personal bond to each commission and creates a bridge of communication between the source of inspiration and the uniqueness of the final paintings.
